WARROAD, Minn., Feb. 17, 2016/PRNewswire/ – Marvin Windows and Doors is now accepting submissions for its annual Architects Challenge design competition. This year, the company has added new prizes for the winning architects.
This is the eighth year Marvin Windows and Doors honors projects representing the best architectural design using Marvin family products. The competition is judged by an esteemed panel of architects. Submissions are open for both residential and commercial projects.
Along with Best in Show, there are five categories juried winners can win prizes in: Contemporary, Transitional/Eclectic, Traditional New Construction, Remodel/Addition and Commercial. This year, the six juried winners will be announced during an ARCHITECT Live event at the AIA Conventions. The prizes include free travel, lodging and registration for the conference, which is held on May 19-21 in Philadelphia, PA.

Along with the trip to AIA, all of the winners receive a VIP trip to Minneapolis and Marvin’s headquarters in Warroad, Minnesota, including AIA-CES credits. The winner of Best in Show will also receive an advertorial in the magazine Architectural Digest and their project will be featured in two videos created by the magazine.
Like the previous Architects Challenges, the public will have the chance to help choose one winner in the Architects Challenge Showdown. The public votes for their favorite project and in return the Showcase winner receives an expenses-paid trip to the Greenbuild International Conference and Expo in Los Angeles, California.
Subsmissions for the Architects Challenge close on April 1, 2016. The juried winners will be announced at the AIA Convention on May 19th. The winning projects will be able to be seen at www.MarvinWindows.com starting on May 20th. The Showdown runs from June 6th to July 1st, 2016, with the winner of the Showdown being announced on July 11th.
